Ebony 01

Description

The second set of earrings from a sliver of curly, mineral-stained ebony.

One side has been finished, while the rest remain weathered.  Number 01.

This ebony was gathered from a cut-off bin at a local sawmill; it was not directly purchased from an ebony supplier. While this does not completely mitigate the damage done to the environment from its harvest, the purchase did not add to demand for the material. Never buy ebony or other tropical hardwoods from someone who cannot tell you exactly where they came from.
